General Objective

To acquire the requisite knowledge, attitude, and skills relevant to curriculum development, instructional design, problem-based learning, self-directed learning, distance education, and individualized instruction in health science education.

Specific Objectives

At the end of the learning package, the students must be able to:

  1. Discuss the philosophy, assumptions, theories, and principles of curriculum development, instructional design, problem-based learning, self-directed learning, distance education, and individualized instruction in health science education.
  2. Demonstrate skills in designing a relevant community-oriented, competency-based, and problem-based curriculum in health science education.
  3. Demonstrate skills in designing problem-based learning in health science education.
  4. Demonstrate skills in designing distance education courses in health science education.
  5. Demonstrate skills in designing individualized instruction in health science education.
