Self-assessment and Reflections of a Surgical Educator

Abstract
After 15 years of being a surgical educator, the author decided to make a formal self-assessment and reflection for two reasons. One, for personal improvement. Two, to serve as a model in self-directed learning for surgical educators to follow.
A retrospective self-assessment and reflection procedure was utilized using reflection and recall, records review, and self-assessment form prepared by peers and self. The resulting document contained 6 items, namely:
