Computers are the in-thing nowadays and in the next millennium. They are and will be here to stay. Everybody, including health care providers and health education professionals, should accept this reality.

Computer is equated to information technology. It is the most efficient resource for information management, searching, and dissemination, whatever kind of information.

It being the in-thing in the next millennium and it being the most efficient resource of information, all health care providers as well as health education professionals should know at least the "basics" of computers.
